China clay is also known as Kaolin. The China clay is the major ingredients for making porcelain and China wares. The name Kaolin is given after a hill in China know as Kaolin. This mineral was found and is being mined from there since centuries. The chemical composition of Kaolin is Al2Si2O5(OH)4.

The China clay is mostly found in the colour white. As compared to ball clay it has a high casting rate in slip casting. China clay has large particles and comparatively low plasticity to ball clay.

China clay is most famous for it’s use in ceramic production. It widely used in production industry, sanitary ware industry, as a filler in paper industry, textile industry, as a raw material in rubber industry, pottery etc.
